I met Freddy G at a Beatlefest in New Jersey..He was the lead singers for a few bands that were playing..We became friends while we did some gigs in different states like New Jersey, Maryland, Chicago, etc...He had a very high range and sang really well..He made some cd's and of course gave them to me to play on The Alan Sane show... Freddy is living in Eastern Long Island with wife and son..I loved to play "Kansas City", i felt that was his best song! Below is a sample of Freddy G...Like Ivan would always say, "Who the hell is Freddy G?
It is with enormous sadness that I announce the passing of my best friend and best man Fred Giovanelli
today from Kidney and heart complications due to Diabetes and Vascular blockage , of which he has been in and out of the hospital since February 2020. As I write this because Freddie had a heart of Gold and would (and did) give of himself to everyone that he knew. We have been friends since we were young teens...He was a loving and devoted father, an extremely talented musician, a caring friend and a kind soul to everyone he has touched. This world has lost an angel. I’m so sorry to be source of sad news. He is survived by his wife Min and his young son Freddie Jr. God bless my friends and please hug the ones you love today...
Alan Sane would always feature Freddy G with Ivan saying: Who the hell is Freddy G?
